assignment 2

The article that I selected for the assignment was posted on the DrudgeReport.com http://apnews.myway.com/article/20090915/D9AO0AMO0.html . The headline reads "U.S. Military Chief wants more troops for Afgan War". The article begins explaining how congress is confused as to what action should be taken. Since Obama has been in office he as already almost doubled the amount of US Forces and has little to show from it. Obama has already approved 21,000 troops to deploy. Mike Mullin chairmen of the joint chiefs of staff, claims he does not know how many more troops it will take but the article reads he made it clear it would be more than the 21,000 already approved. This would be a good article for a student in our class because it reminds us how serious things still are over there. I know that I had no idea that we had doubled the troops and are needing more!
